Our Story.
Talons Out is a small, family-owned ranch built by Blythe and Hamish — and it was built the only way it could have been: from lived experience.
Blythe comes from a family that knew the inside of institutions — for sobriety, for mental health, for all of it. She is not anti-treatment. She is clinically informed. But when her own daughter, Georgie, needed support, Blythe couldn't bring herself to send her somewhere that didn't feel human. So she and Hamish built Talons Out instead.
That is what makes this place sacred. It wasn't designed. It was lived into.
What we believe
Sobriety is a byproduct, not the goal. What young adults and adolescents are truly struggling with is something deeper — an inability to find themselves, to establish their purpose, to feel at home in their own lives.
Technology now outweighs drugs and alcohol as the most dangerous force in their world. Social media, constant connectivity, the noise — it pulls them away from themselves before they ever had a chance to know who they are.
We believe in disconnecting to reconnect. We believe in returning people to their natural state — the one they had before the noise took over. We are spiritual beings having a human experience, and that is the organic part of all of this.
